FAMILY. Where we come from, what defines us, sometimes we are proud, sometimes not so much. I live in my grandparents 100 year old farmhouse, the real deal. They had sheep, pigs, cows, chickens, goats and a team of horses to pull the buggy and hay wagon. Watermelons and milk and eggs were lowered into a cistern in the front yard to cool. My mom and her brother really did walk 2 miles to school, weather never taken into account. I look at these old pictures and wish I were there too sometimes! We talk about simplifying but compared to life then, it's not going to happen.

I have collected these old wicker wine bottles since the 90's. I've never tired of them, a rare thing indeed! It's been at least 4 years since I papered the walls in this room with a 1940's illustrated dictionary, the best solution I have found for covering yucky paneling. Clear coated with Mod Podge, they have held up well.

One post a year?
I logged into my Google account thinking about deleting my blog, considering it's been almost a year since my first post! I can't begin to go into what has happened the last year in my life, let's just say I've been stressed out and overwhelmed.
So, let's try this again!!
